  1. It’s a breakfast treat…Soft, fluffy biscuits broken up into a bowl of hot chocolate gravy with butter melted in it. It is soooo not good for you which is why I only indulge once every few years (when mom or grandma feel like making it). I purposely didn’t learn how to make it or the biscuits because I knew I’d be big as a house if I did LOL!

  2. Sandie B says

Anything with pasta. My family is very picky but add pasta to a dish (or just plain with garlic and butter) and they’ll eat it up!

  3. Ham, potato and green bean soup, but not with broth. I make mine with a thick white sauce made from milk and flour! I can only make it every once in a while because I could eat several bowls worth! YUM!

  4. I think I may only cook comfort food- Ha! Let’s see, probably chili-mac or tomato soup with bacon sandwiches or pancakes!

  5. My absolute favorite, and comforting, meal since a young child is a meal my Dad would make on Sundays. He would put a beef roast with carrots and potatoes in a covered pot and put in the oven to cook while we were at church. Oh, just thinking about it makes me want this childhood favorite!

  6. My grandma’s biscuits and gravy. I wish she was still around to make them, but I am blessed that she taught me the recipe.

  7. Rice, Tomato, Kidney Bean, and Hamburger Goulash…it’s what my great grandma made for my grandma, my grandma made for my dad, my mom made for us, and what I make for my family now 🙂 It’s great comfort food and as my grandma told the story…made lots to feed a family during the great depression 🙂

  8. My favorite go to comfort dish is something I craved constantly when I was pregnant with my son and that is mashed red potatoes with the skins and lots of butter and cream. If I am feeling a little blue and need a pick me up and don’t want to spend the time cutting and boiling potatoes, I throw a washed medium red potato into the microwave and mash it up and it makes me feel instantly happier 🙂

  9. My comfort food would probably be a chicken bbq pizza from Jet’s pizza! YUMMY! Or anything fried….like who could turn down fried food? Healthy- definitely not…delicious though.

  10. Country style steak with mashed taters n gravy fried cabbage turnip greens and cornbread, dont get much better than that! Hope i win cause i love her recipes

  11. My favorite comfort food is soups and stews and items like my Grandmother made of Soup Bean(pinto beans) and cornbread and sauteed Mustard Greens or Dandelion Greens. This is from way back in my childhood. lol [email protected]
