Garlic Bread Seasoning

Prep Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup powdered Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 2 Tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a small jar or container that has a lid. Stir mixture to combine and then seal shut with lid.
  • Sprinkle on top of warm breadsticks OR combine 1 ½ Tablespoons garlic bread seasoning with 1/2 cup softened butter and spread on a loaf of French bread (cut in 1/2 lengthwise).
Wrap in foil and bake at 375 until butter is melted. (You could also place it open-faced under the broiler for a few minutes, so it gets golden-brown and crispy)

  1. Just love this and all of your fantastic recipes!!!! I love how you make everything so easy and quick and with basic on hand staples. I was wondering if you have ever heard of 7 minute frosting? I heard it’s done on a double pot thing and it’s only sugar, vanilla, and maybe 2 other ingredients, but I can’t find a recipe for it and how to do it? Any help would be appreciated, and the easier the better!! Thanks, Patricia

  2. I made this for dinner last night with spaghetti, everyone loved it. I mixed it with the butter and broiled it. Really yummy! I put it in a half pint canning jar with the shaker lid from my parmesan cheese container. Perfect!

  3. Thanks so much for this one! I usually just sprinkle garlic salt over butter ☺️ if I don’t buy a loaf of ready to bake bread. But of course that is terribly lacking. This recipe caught my eye since I have a huge canister of the cheese that seems to last years. So today I finally remembered to try it out (minus the oregano just because I don’t love it. I will add a bit next time to see how I feel about it in this recipe). I broiled it and it was awesome! All of my kids liked it!
