There are very few recipes that can satisfy multiple cravings in one bite. My Taco Pizza will fulfill any craving that you have for tacos and pizza. A recipe like this is truly the best of both worlds. This family friendly dinner is quite simple to make and can be on your table ready to devour in under an hour.

WHAT IS TACO PIZZA?

It all came to me one night when we had some leftover refried beans and ground beef from our ‘Taco Tuesday.’ I whipped up my easy pizza dough recipe and stretched the dough to fit in a large baking sheet. I loaded it up with the leftover beans, taco meat and cheese. Some diced tomatoes and sliced olives were also added. After the baking process was done, I sprinkled on some green onion, salsa and sour cream. My entire family thought it was a hit! Now, everyone in the house asks for Taco Pizza all the time.

PIZZA DOUGH

Try my recipe for The Best Pizza Dough and your life will be changed forever. 😉 It is so simple to make and creates the most wonderful pizza. If you are short on time, you can always use a can of refrigerated pizza dough.

INGREDIENTS FOR TACO PIZZA

When it comes to the toppings, I highly recommend getting creative! If there is a certain taco topping that you love, make sure to add it to your list.

  • Pizza dough
  • 1-pound lean ground beef
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
  • 3 cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese
  • Diced tomato
  • Sliced black olives
  • Green onion
  • Sour Cream
  • Salsa

INSTRUCTIONS FOR TACO PIZZA

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. (If using refrigerated dough preheat oven according to package directions.) Prepare the dough and stretch it out to fit in a large 12×17-inch baking sheet. Spread the refried beans evenly over the dough, then top with cooked, ground beef and cheese. Top evenly with tomatoes and olives.

Bake pizza for 16 to 18 minutes, or until crust is golden-brown. Carefully remove pizza from oven. Let stand at least 5 to 10 minutes to cool slightly. Sprinkle with green onion then slice into squares. Serve with salsa and sour cream, if desired. Enjoy!

TIPS ON MAKING TACO PIZZA

Drain the grease from the ground beef after cooking. Too much grease can cause the dough to get soggy.

Warm the refried beans before spreading on the dough. This will make sure they spread much easier.

Get creative and use toppings that you love. This will ensure you enjoy every bite!

STORING LEFTOVERS

If you have any pizza leftover, make sure to cool it fist then cut into squares. Store in a Tupperware or container with a lid. A large Ziplock bag works great too. Pizza stays well in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Reheat in the microwave, or for a delicious crispy crust air fry any leftovers!
