I made these with granny smith apples. I prepared the apple crisp with apples that were cut from additional apples. Top with vanilla ice cream , a real treat

In reply to Aly. I haven't tried it, but I imagine you could make these a few hours ahead of time. I would make everything right up before the baking point. Just cover tightly with saran wrap and keep in fridge until ready to bake. Good luck!
