From the azure shores to the lush landscapes, every moment was beautiful and adventurous. Yet, it was the food that truly captivated our senses and tantalized our taste buds with the vibrant flavors of Hawaiian cuisine. While this year&#8217;s summer plans may have veered off course, we refuse to let go of the memories that continue to linger. I decided to bring a taste of Hawaii to our dinner table with this Hawaiian Style Garlic Shrimp. Bursting with the buttery richness of garlic and the essence of the Pacific, each bite transported us back to those carefree days by the ocean!</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>COOKING INSTRUCTIONS</strong></h3>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">In a large skillet, over medium-low heat, add 4 Tablespoons olive oil and 2 Tablespoons butter. Let warm and stir until butter melts. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant and caramelizes slightly.</p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Add lemon juice, sea salt, pepper and paprika to the skillet. Stir. Then add remaining oil and butter.&nbsp;Stir and continue to slowly cook for 2 minutes or so. Carefully, add shrimp to the skillet.</p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Cook shrimp in sauce for only 2 minutes, on each side, or until shrimp turns an orange/pink color. (Shrimp cooks very fast. Once you see that orange color on each side it is ready!) Serve over rice and pour sauce over the top. Enjoy!</p>

Let warm and stir until butter melts. Add garlic and saute for 1 minute until fragrant and caramelizes slightly.</span></div></li><li id="wprm-recipe-18347-step-0-1" class="wprm-recipe-instruction" style="list-style-type: decimal;"><div class="wprm-recipe-instruction-text" style="margin-bottom: 5px;">Add lemon juice, sea salt, pepper and paprika to skillet. Stir. Then add remaining oil and butter. Stir and continue to slowly cook for 2 minutes or so. Carefully, add shrimp to skillet.</div></li><li id="wprm-recipe-18347-step-0-2" class="wprm-recipe-instruction" style="list-style-type: decimal;"><div class="wprm-recipe-instruction-text" style="margin-bottom: 5px;"><span style="display: block;">Cook shrimp in sauce for only 2 minutes, on each side, or until shrimp turns an orange/pink color. <strong>(Shrimp cooks very fast. <h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>BEST ADVICE FOR COOKING SHRIMP</strong></h3>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">There are a few simple rules to live by when cooking shrimp. If you stick to these few and steadfast rules, then cooking this succulent shellfish will become second nature.</p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Raw Shrimp:</strong> When cooking raw shrimp, make sure you properly soak them in cold water beforehand to get off anything that you don’t want in your dish. It’s crucial that you make sure each shrimp is deveined before cooking.</p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Frozen shrimp</strong>: If you decide to use frozen shrimp for your recipe make sure that you allow proper time for it to thaw out before cooking. Otherwise, the shrimps won’t cook evenly in your skillet.</p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Tails on or off</strong>: If you are eating shrimp as a finger food or appetizer, I recommend keeping the tails on. This allows you to grab on to something while you eat it. If it is going into a dish like pasta or over rice, I suggest taking your tails off. This way you won’t accidentley crunch down on something you don’t want to eat.</p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Fast cook time</strong>: Shrimp doesn&#8217;t need that much time in the pan to finish cooking. All they need is about 3 to 4 minutes in a hot pan and they should be perfect. As soon as they start to slightly curl and turn an opaque pink color, they are done! Remove from heat as they will continue to cook even after the heat has been turned off. If you leave them on too long, then they will become rubbery. No one likes a rubbery shrimp.</p>

<li class="has-medium-font-size">Butter</li>



<li class="has-medium-font-size">Garlic (minced)</li>



<li class="has-medium-font-size">Basil </li>



<li class="has-medium-font-size">Oregano </li>



<li class="has-medium-font-size">Lemon zest </li>



<li class="has-medium-font-size">Salt and black pepper </li>



<li class="has-medium-font-size">Red pepper flakes </li>



<li class="has-medium-font-size">Lemon juice</li>



<li class="has-medium-font-size">Freshly chopped parsley </li>
</ul>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>INSTRUCTIONS</strong></h3>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Heat butter in a large skillet until it starts to foam. This takes a couple of minutes. If you have a cast iron skillet, this is the perfect recipe to use it with. It will give the shrimp that much more flavor.</p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">Add the garlic and stir for 30 seconds. Add shrimp to skillet. Sprinkle shrimp with basil, oregano, lemon zest, salt, black pepper and red pepper flakes. Cook, stirring frequently, until shrimp are pink. This only takes about 4 minutes. Shrimp cooks very fast so make sure to not take your eye off them. Remove skillet from heat, then pour lemon juice and fresh parsley all over shrimp. Gently stir and then serve immediately!</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>ENJOY GARLIC HERB SHRIM</strong>P</h3>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">This recipe is very versatile! These are great served alone dipped into a side of cocktail sauce, or as a main course with rice and veggies. You can also add them on a delicious salad. I have also used this recipe for taco night in the Lofthouse. A warm tortilla with a few shrimps scattered throughout hits the spot. They would also be great as a pairing for fajitas. The number of possibilities with this recipe is as limitless as your imagination.</p>

I don&#8217;t blame them, it really is delicious, but I have to remind them that we can&#8217;t eat it every day. lol Too much of a good thing is just too much. Does that make sense? lol I made them wait a while before I whipped up another batch, but this time I added some yummy golden shrimp. My little Kallen was in heaven. He is my seafood lover to the core.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">This Shrimp Tortellini Alfredo turned out to be even better than I expected. The rich and creamy Alfredo coats the tortellini and shrimp so perfectly, ensuring every bite is delicious and satisfying. My kids were pretty quiet as they gobbled this pasta up. I always know if I have a quiet dinner table that means they&#8217;re eating their dinner and loving it!</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">I personally prefer to use fresh, refrigerated tortellini. I feel it has the best flavor and it cooks the fastest. You can also use frozen tortellini as well, but just keep in mind it will take a little longer to cook. It will still taste delicious though.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>SHRIMP OPTIONS </strong></h3>



<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">We like to stock bags of already cooked frozen shrimp in our freezer for quick recipes just like this! Although, I believe fresh shrimp is the best, frozen cooked shrimp is always a great alternative. I just run it under cold water to thaw before adding it into the pasta. It&#8217;s easy and really yummy!</p>

I was astonished by this recipe when I first made it. I wish I had made these years ago if I knew how quick and easy they were to make! In just about 20 minutes, you can have shrimp fajitas at your dinner table. I used to always think that fajitas had to be made in a skillet or a grill, but never on a baking sheet.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph">These slightly spicy shrimp fajitas also make great leftovers that can turn into shrimp taco salads or fajita lettuce wraps- win-win! My personal favorite is these fajitas wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. You just can’t beat that! I feel like sheet pan dinners are becoming the new thing, and I totally can see why. One sheet pan for one meal? You can sign me up for that every night! This might mean I may need to try more sheet pan recipes! Did I also mention the easy clean-up from this quick 15-minute meal? If you like your shrimp a little more citrusy, add more lime juice when they come out of the oven. It is also important to cut the peppers and onions thinly so they can cook all the way through when they bake. I hope you enjoy this meal as much as we did!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is the very first seafood recipe I&#8217;ve posted on the blog, so let&#8217;s give it a warm welcome, mmm kay? <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f609.png" alt="😉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Ha! I&#8217;m honestly not the biggest seafood lover, but I do LOVE me some shrimp. Baked, fried, I love it all ways!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I think my favorite kind of shrimp is Coconut Shrimp (and I&#8217;ll be sharing that recipe soon!) But first, I wanted to share this absolutely delicious <span style="color: #99cc00;"><strong>Honey Lime Shrimp</strong></span>. It is so good!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I first made this recipe for a Murder Mystery party I had back in December. It was such a hit! The flavors of lime and just a hint of sweetness from the honey are so perfect. It cooks quickly ( in under 10 minutes) so I put it in the fridge to marinate an hour before the party, and as everyone arrived I popped it in the oven. My house smelled so yummy, and it was gone in no time.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the summer, if you don&#8217;t feel like turning on your oven, this shrimp easily cooks up in a skillet, too!</p>

Once combined, add the shrimp. Squeeze the air out of the bag and seal shut. Spray a large baking sheet with non-stick spray.
