I’m looking forward to using this recipe for sure!!! I was wondering about the milk-would heavy cream be okay to use? The recipe didn’t specify, so I wasn’t sure if it was whole milk, evaporated milk, or the heavy cream.

This cake is delicious. If you don’t have the time to put together cinnamon rolls, this is a very, very good substitute. Yummy!

In reply to Amanda. The eggs are an important part of the custard mixture in this Berry Croissant Bake. They help the custard set as it bakes, giving the dish its fluffy texture and helping hold everything together. Without the eggs, the milk/cream mixture would stay much more liquid and the bake wouldn't have the same rich, custardy consistency.

Do you cook the noodles? You say one place uncooked noodles and another place you say mix the cooked noodles with all ingredient’s.

Is there anyway to make this without egg? My daughter is allergic so I used egg replacer which we normally use for recipes and this never turned out. It was just a soupy mess and I cooked it for almost 2 hours.

In reply to Lucy. 3rd time I've made this, it's a family favorite for dinner, however, I use just strawberries and small raspberries. I've got some blueberry dislikes. We serve with powdered sugar and whipped cream and have syrup available. I just serve with bacon or sausage.
