I made the recipe tonight and it is delicious! I used chicken breasts rather than thighs because I do not like dark meat. I cut the recipe in half because there are only two of us but I plan to freeze the leftovers in individual freezer bags so I will have a quick dinner whenever I need it.

I will serve it with white rice, asparagus and a salad.

LOVE This recipe! So happy I stumbled upon it, for it is now a regular meal at my place. It’s incredibly easy to make and delicious as well. My partner is a self proclaimed takeaway Chinese food connoisseur and even he thinks it beats the takeaways!

Could you add some veggies to the crockpot with the chicken, for a complete meal? What veggies would go nicely with this dish?

In reply to patricia. Patricia, they are correct. Chicken doesn't have to cook as long as beef does in a crock pot. But also keep in mind every crock pot heats differently. Some cook things faster than others.

In reply to Meg. Meg, yes you could definitely do this in the oven. Follow the recipe exactly but Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes or until no longer pink.
