Incredibly fluffy and delicious Doughnut Waffles made in your waffle maker! Dunk them in glaze and top with sprinkles!

Fluffy, chewy and warm doughnuts baked straight from a waffle iron then drenched in either vanilla or chocolate glaze. Life-in-the-Lofthouse.com

Happy Friday, friends! I thought I’d kick off the weekend with some super yummy Doughnut Waffles I made for Pillsbury years ago. I created recipes for them for a couple of years and it was such a fun job.

These divine doughnuts are made from Pillsbury Grands® Biscuit dough. Instead of deep-frying them like typical doughnuts, I baked them in a waffle iron. So easy!

Imagine the fluffiest, chewiest warm doughnuts baked straight from a waffle iron. No deep-frying with oil required!

Once, you pop them out of the waffle maker, you can dunk them in either chocolate or vanilla glaze. Don’t forget the sprinkles! 😉  Yum!

Doughnut Waffles

Servings 8

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated large biscuits (I used Pillsbury Grands Biscuits)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • sprinkles, if desired

Instructions

  • Spray a waffle maker with non-stick spray; heat waffle maker.
  • Remove biscuits from can; separate into 8 biscuits. Place one biscuit in the center of waffle maker. Close lid; cook 2 minutes or until golden brown. Repeat with remaining biscuits.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together powdered sugar, milk and vanilla with whisk until combined. (Add the cocoa if you want chocolate glaze. Stir in cocoa until combined.)
Dip each side of the doughnut waffles into the glaze. Add sprinkles, if using. Serve and enjoy!
