  1. Obviously, I am most thankful for all the “normal” things people are thankful for … but I really think it needs to be said that we are also thankful for creative and energetic people who put so much work into creating wonderful blogs that inspire those of us who are not so creative on our own. Honestly, after 30 years spent cooking for my family, I was a bit burnt out – discovering so many wonderful cooking blogs has restored my cooking passion! So, I thank you for the work that you do 🙂

  2. I am most thankful for my wonderful husband and beautiful daughter. They are the best and I couldn’t ask for any 2 people to be more understanding. They love me unconditionally and I gratefully return my love uncondtionally.

  3. I am most thankful for the realization that every day is a gift thanks to my precious little miracle, my youngest child. He was born with heart defects six years ago, has survived three heart surgeries and multiple other procedures. He has brought us all closer and opened our eyes to the blessings around us each day.

  4. I am thankful that my family and friend’s houses were not damaged by hurricane Sandy. I’m thankful for all the people that went and are still coming to help all of those that were impacted by the hurricane.

How blessed are we that we have such a wonderful system as families set up to ensure we are never alone and can give and receive help throughout our lives!

  28. This year has been one of the most trying years of my and my familys life. I’m the Mom of 5 grown children, and 7 grandchildren, soon to be 8. I”m on 54. Last Sept I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer that has spread to my bones and was told I had 6 to 12 months to live. Needless, to say, I’m VERY thankful that I’m still here one year later, with my family, making memories as best as I can and currently stable.

  29. Family. Health. All that awesomeness. But today, I’m thankful that win or lose, we all enjoy freedom. Freedom to vote, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and that women here can go to school, be moms, work, and have opinions.

  30. I’m most thankful that I get to live the life that I want. I have the freedom to have a career, and be a mom and a wife. Not everyone has that luxury.

  31. I am thankful that for the first time in 6 years my husband and I are not students! He recently graduated law school and now we have a new job to provide for our family! I am so thankful for our cute home, and my 2 adorable little girls!

They put up with this sometimes crotchedy old lady and show me love constantly! 🙂

  37. I am most thankful that I was adopted by my dad when he and mom married. Without that, I would not have learned how to be a good wife, mother, and now a grandmother – a good person in general. My deceased dad must have been watching from above and orchestrating it all!

  38. I’m thankful for my family of course. I am especially thankful for my health. I’m doing well now, but I have been through some rough times.

  39. The one thing that I am most very grateful for….It is so hard because there are so many things that top my list but if I have to name just one then it would be my Heavenly Father because He has given me all the other wonderful blessings in my like that I am so very grateful for!

  40. I am honestly most thankful for the grace of God. I am a single mom and not as close to perfect as I would like. Every morning (and a few times throughout the day) I get to “start over”.

  41. I think I am most thankful for my loved ones, to include my family, my husband, my pound puppy dog, friends who are there for me. They make my life joyful.

  42. I am thankful that my family is safe after Hurricane Sandy – we may have lost everything in the flood, but we still have the love and strength from each other 🙂

  43. i am thankful for the gift of myself. without me, my children, husband and job would suffer. i am thankful that I am able to do what ever needs to be or should be done. i know it sounds crazy but think about it!

  44. Other than the obvious things you mentioned. I am thankful for heat! We lost heat in our house twice in the last two days (fixed now) and all I could think was all those people who’ve been without power due to Sandy. So thankful for the things we take for granted every day like walking into a warm home.

  45. I’m thankful for my husband who has sacrificed so much time and energy providing for our family when times were tough and who also stuck with me when marriage seemed impossible.

  46. Well, compared to what is going on over in the eastern side of the nation, I have a lot to be thankful for. The basics, electricity and clean water and fresh food, my own warm home. Beyond that, I am thankful that my husband gets up every morning works his heart out to provide for me and our 4 daughters. And speaking of our 4 daughters, I am thankful that they are healthy and tenacious! Most of all, I am thankful for Christ’s salvation which without it, I was hopeless, wandering around, trying but not succeeding!

  50. I am thankful for what we have, our children, health, good jobs, a home and a loving family. We may not be rich but we have some much to be thankful for. I only hope i can teach my children to appreciate the little things in life as they grow.

  51. I am thankful for my family, especially the newest member – our new son-in-law who married our daughter this summer. He’s everything we wanted for her.
