Cheesy Garlic Bread

When it comes to all things Italian, especially around dinner, you know that there must be some sort of bread. Either breadsticks, rolls, focaccia, or anything that is ready to soak up whatever sauce you may have on your plate. My Garlic Cheese Bread is so good it might even become the center of attention at dinner. You can guarantee that if I am going to be making one of my favorite Italian meals, this recipe will also be on the menu with it. This cheesy bread will bring a smile to anyone’s face!

GARLIC CHEESE BREAD

This is one of the easiest bread recipes to make, and can be ready in less than 30 minutes. Either store-bought or homemade French bread works perfectly for this recipe. It’s topped with lots of melted butter, garlic, and three cheeses. Cheddar, Mozzarella and Parmesan to be exact. Once it is baked to a bubbling perfection, you can pull this out of the oven and serve fresh with your meal. Use each slice to help pick up a few bites of pasta, or to dip in an extra side of sauce!

Cheesy Garlic Bread

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 loaf French Bread
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup Mayonnaise
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

HOW TO MAKE GARLIC CHEESE BREAD

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

In a medium-size bowl, mix all of the cheeses, mayonnaise, and chopped green onion together. Set aside.

Cut the  French bread in half lengthwise, making 2 equal pieces. Place bread cut side up on a large baking sheet.

Mix the softened butter and garlic together in a small bowl. Spread the butter evenly all over the two halves of bread. Top each loaf evenly with the cheese mixture; spreading out evenly.

Bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Carefully remove from oven and let stand a few minutes. Slice, serve and enjoy!

SERVINGS

One recipe of this bread serves 6. Now, if your family is anything like the Lofthouse gang, you love to eat bread and will go through it quickly. I suggest doubling the recipe if you’re serving more than 6 people.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH GARLIC CHEESE BREAD

This bread pairs well with any type of Italian or pasta dish. Any great marinara pasta dish, or Alfredo dish, will go so well with a slice of this cheesy and delicious bread. You can also make this for your pizza nights as well! We love having an extra side of sauce for dipping. Also, call me crazy, but if you and your family love Ranch dressing try dipping this bread into a side of that for a unique dipping experience.
