Halloween_Collage_MainI’m obsessed with Halloween.

I love it.

I wish every month could be October.

Okay, not every month because I do love Christmas, so maybe every other month. Ha 🙂

Today’s post is one I’ve been debating on doing. I know not everyone loves Halloween like we do, and sharing decorating ideas on a food blog had me worried of what you all would think. But I LOVE to decorate, especially for holidays and wanted to share mine with you. I think any decor really livens up a home! 🙂

We’re only 3 weeks away from moving into our new house! Once we’re moved in I’m going to blog about my decorating journey and take you on a tour every Friday. I’m really excited about these new home posts on Fridays, but please know I will still be posting delicious and easy recipes during the week. After all, cooking is my true passion and that’s what this blog is really about!

To kick off my decor posts I thought I’d start with some fun, affordable Halloween decor! These are all the fun things I’ve collected over the years. I don’t even have all of my decorations out because we’re moving soon, so this is about half of what we have. Hope you enjoy!

Halloween_Decor6This SPOOKY sign is one of my favorite pieces. I bought it at Krumpets Home Decor when I was pregnant with Kallen. Krumpets went out of business here a few years ago, but they still have most of their decor available online. I also got the little pumpkin next to the sign there as well!

I bought this glass pumpkin at Target a million years ago. I set it out and fill it with candy corn in late September, and keep it in my kitchen through Thanksgiving. The topiary next to it I bought at Passport Furnishings. I LOVE that store. Besides their gorgeous furniture, they have really cute decor and greenery. I bought a bunch of these topiaries for our new house. My husband laughs at me and says I have a topiary addiction. He may be right.. LOL

I LOVE this Trick or Treat sign. The vibrant colors, the stripes. It’s another favorite Halloween piece of mine. I bought it at Krumpets about 2 years ago. The chevron pumpkin next to it I bought at Tuesday Morning. That store is great for finding decorating treasures!

Halloween_Decor3Sorry for the blurry picture, but it’s the only one I took of this cute Happy Halloween plate. I placed two real pumpkins next to it to give it a pop of color. 🙂 I bought the plate at Tai Pan Trading years ago.

Halloween_Decor7I adore this glass pumpkin jar! It’s usually filled to the brim with these festive OREO cookies, so you can’t see the ugly outlets behind it, but my family loves OREOS, what can I say? Ha! I bought the jar at Tai Pan Trading, and the cute Candy Corn at Krumpets. 😀

I have an overload of pumpkins, so I decided to create this little pumpkin patch on my kitchen table. I love how it turned out with all the different colors, textures and sizes. When I saw the black striped table runner at Tai Pan Trading I grabbed it fast. I also bought the big silver pumpkin there as well. The others are from Target and Tuesday Morning stores. (Links above)

Halloween_Decor2This is the first year I’ve ever really been into pillows. It is amazing how just one pillow can add a pop of color and so much character to a space! I bought this witch pillow at Tai Pan Trading just a few weeks ago, and the striped orange pillow I bought at PeterPyper.com

First of all, let’s talk about this skeleton dog. I don’t like him. At all. LOL My hubby was at Costco a few weeks ago with my son, and they brought home this creepy little dude. You can turn a switch to make his eyes glow red and it just creeps me out even more. Most of the time, especially when I’m home alone, he is in the corner back behind that table so he’s not staring at me, but when my hubby’s home he’s out and I just try not to look at him. Ha! Oh, and the Trick Or Treat sign on the table and the witch hat is from Krumpets, and the cute striped pumpkin from Target. (Links above) 🙂

Halloween_Decor10I love this set up on top of our entertainment center. I didn’t say I like the entertainment center, just the Halloween decor. ha! 😉 We’re getting rid of this giant ugly thing when we move. I’ve had it for over 12 years. We bought a cute white buffet-type table that will replace it in the new house and hide all the devices below. Yay. 🙂 As for the decor, the witch hat, Halloween sign and jar of pumpkins are all from Krumpets. ( I know, I know, I have a Krumpets problem..) The silver pumpkins on top are from Tai Pan Trading, and the skeleton hand globe and skull with books are from Tuesday Morning. (All the links are above)

A new favorite this year is this white Pumpkin with our family name on it. I hope it lasts a few years because I love it so much. I bought it at Jane.com

And last, but certainly not least, is our Jack Skellington door! I love what it adds to our Halloween decor. So fun!

Well, I hope you all enjoyed the little bit of decorations I shared today! I would love to know your thoughts on it, and would love to see pictures of what you have. Give me links to your Instagram if it’s open! 🙂

Okay, so enough of the decor. Let’s bring on the grub! Here are some of our favorite HALLOWEEN Eats and Treats below!

  1. Hi Holly!

I LOVE the holidays decorations. I am one who doesn’t do a lot of decorating since I am not home much, don’t have kids, etc. But I so enjoyed your posting. It’s a nice difference to your blog. And good for you for decorating when you are so close to moving. . . you are a much better woman than I!!

  2. Seriously so cute, Holly! That dog freaks me out, too. I would never plug it in! Such a fun post and I can’t wait to see your other decor posts!

  3. Love seeing the decorating ideas you do at your home, with the recipes linked. I used to decorate way more for Halloween, but with a 6yr, 3yr, and 1yr old now, I have scaled back (I kind of gave up after the 2nd kid, spent too much time moving and fixing decoration sets lol) and focus more on the activities now.

I’m looking forward to your Friday decorating posts!
