Beautiful gorgeous pineapple is grown in Hawaii. There is also ham in this recipe, which is pork. Pork is also a staple food in Hawaii. And if you look at pizza places, they call it a Hawaiian pizza when there’s pineapple on it. I am not the first to title it that way.
I hope you have a happier day. Maybe instead of commenting negativity on a food blog, you can go spread some positivity and kindness somewhere else. 🙂

Putting pineapple in a dish does *NOT* MAKE it “hawaiian”. That would be like adding corn to whatever dish you want and calLing it native american.

Made this for supper tonight, my husband was a bit skeptical about the pineapple.He was pleased with the flavor of the sweet with the salty. Even my oldest son who is picky with trying new foods, loved it! Will definitely be making this again! Could be a new favorite now!

This recipe is yummy great for kids, I just left out the hot sauce for the kids as we dont eat hot stuff and still yummy hubby took some for work the next day
