Menu Plan Monday #240Hi friends! I know I’m a day late in posting the menu plan and I have to apologize. I came home on the weekend from a three day food blogger’s conference (which was incredible!,) and the rest of the weekend just sort of flew by. Yesterday I had so much to get done that I didn’t have a second to jump on here. But here I am now. Better late than never, right? 😉

I learned SO much at the conference and I am so excited to put all the information I learned to use. But to be totally honest, I didn’t even want to go. I have been so overwhelmed with life and work lately, that I have been in a huge blogging rut. I bet those of you that follow my blog on a regular basis have noticed that I’ve stopped posting consistently. I have relied on my contributors (who are amazing and I am so grateful for them) to put out most of my new content, and some days it takes everything I can to get any work done at all.

Call it depression or just a working funk, but I am acknowledging it, and doing something about it. Cooking and blogging have been such a huge passion of mine for years, and I LOVE my job so much, but it has become overwhelming for me to do it all by myself. I think one of the biggest misconceptions of blogging is that it’s a super easy job. Well, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. There is so much to do if you want your blog to be successful, and I’ve tried to do it all by myself for years, but I think the last few months I’ve finally come to my breaking point and am realizing I cannot do it all alone.

The conference helped me get my mojo back and a drive I haven’t felt in a long time. Thanks to my hubby for encouraging me to go. He told me he knew it would help so I went, and I’m so happy I did. I am now starting to see the light at the end of this tunnel I’ve been in. Another reason I’m seeing the light as well is that my husband is now going to be helping me full time! 🙂 He resigned from his job of 18 years (gulp) and is going to be my blogging partner; helping me with all my social media, SEO and video editing. That way I will have so much more time to be in the kitchen, creating new recipes, and getting back to the main reason I even started blogging: cooking and sharing those recipes I love!

I want to thank you all for sticking with me through this rut. Please hang in there and know that I will be posting a lot more and sharing my own new recipes, a long with my contributors, multiple times a week. I am excited to get back on it, and excited for you to stay with me on this journey. I seriously love you all and appreciate your support, always! -Holly xoxo
