This delicious Shamrock Shake is a mint ice cream shake just like the one from McDonalds! 

I love a good milkshake. It’s one of life’s best pleasures, in my expert opinion. 😉 ha. I am in love with McDonald’s Shamrock Shakes! They are the bomb dot com. Mint is one of my favorite flavors of ice cream too, so this shake sings to me whenever it’s available there!
The great thing is- you can make their shake at home easily and for a lot cheaper. It’s so easy to whip up the kiddos could do it theirselves. All you need is a few simple ingredients and you’re on your way to this fun and yummy ice cream treat. I’m thinking I’ll have to serve these for dessert on St. Patricks Day. The kids will be happy campers (and Momma too!)

A delicious mint ice cream shake- just like the one from McDonalds!

Ingredients
  • 4 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup milk ( I use 2%)
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 4 to 5 drops green food coloring
  • whipped cream
  • sprinkles (optional)
  • cherries (optional)
Instructions
  1. Place ice cream, mint extract and green food coloring in a blender. Pour in ½ cup milk and place lid on blender. Blend until creamy and combined. For a thinner shake, add in more milk until shake has reached desired consistency. Pour in 2 glasses and top with whipped cream and sprinkles. Enjoy!

Well i only had one this year , as i am no longer able to eat those kibds of desserts again less its all lite or fat free sugar free on a healthy eating program as my choclestol is not good , so it was a one time treat but i lovevto try yours maybe in a couple of monthscas i keep losing those pounds as a treat i will most definite try yours thanks so much, and hey do you have any low cal. Recipes i can try ,i can eat lots of fresh veggies, and fruits, but not alot of sodium or sugar .
