oh my goodness so delicious - i bought 5 lbs so doubled up on the spices. i used balsamic in place of worcestire. cooked it overnight 12 hours on low.

found a tangy bbq sauce recipe on pinterest also, and added in pan juices in place of worcestire and a half teaspooon of smoke and cayenne pepper and two teaspoons of cornstarch to get to right consistency.
Sliced instead of shredding, only got 14 slices out of the original 5 lb roast! bringing an appy to the derby party, a small bed of deli cole slaw, a dill pickle and brisket on a party pick topped with a cube of cheddar cheese served in a plastic cup,, its good to go now!

I made it, it was so good, my husband kept saying how good it smelled while it was cooking.
I replaced the water with Coke Zero. You could also use beer that would be really good too.
But great recipe, I will make it again.

Throughout the years, I have had a tough relationship with beef brisket...until now. After cooking the brisket all different ways, including smoking, I think this slow cooker recipe is the one for me. It's easy and versatile. For the first night, I made birria ramen. For the next night, I can see Birria tacos. Because I cooked the meat through the night, my family snacked on the meat while it was cooling. Who can blame them? It was so good.
