I can not wait to try this. We make ham and turkey breast at Christmas, Easter and thanksgiving every Year. For some reason ive been in a recipe slump the last half doZen times ive made ham in tHe crock pot. Ham, hOney, Crushed PINEAPPLE. It was great at first, not its meh. So this will be on the menu for Easter. Instead of broiling in the oven, im going to use my cooking torch! Ive only used it a few times but it carmelizes beautifully. Like the famous Honey Baked Ham. Yum! Thanks for this great recipE. Your grand mom sounDs like a wonderful cook and entertainer. I enjoyed the story you shared.

HI HOLLY! My husband has talked about making ham for as long as we've been together (8 years!). I've never done it before and quite frankly was very intimidated. Well last week he found your recipe and showed it to me, and asked if we could make it. it seemed pretty straight forward and especially easy since it's make in the crockpot. i made it last night and he loved it!! It really was so simply, I had no idea. he loved the extra glaze on top and said it reminded him of his favorite honey baked ham. thanks for this recipe!

Yes, this time is correct give or take, because all slow cookers can heat slightly different. The ham is already pre-cooked so all you're doing is warming it up in the slow cooker. :)

I added this ham to our Thanksgiving table and it was very well-received! We're pretty much a turkey-only family on this holiday...but a deep fried bird was on the menu this year and there were skeptics aplenty! {grin} I opted for a supermarket brand spiral sliced ham that was about 5 pounds and used both my slow cooker and broiler for prep. After broiling and glazing the ham, the turkey still wasn't ready, so I loosely wrapped the ham in foil and held it in the slow cooker on WARM for just shy of 2 hours. Came out a-ok even with the holdover. Super easy and very tasty!
