In reply to Sherri. Hi Sherri! Yes you can freeze this sauce. Bring it down to room temperature than store in a freezer safe container for up to 3 months. Reheat on the stovetop over low heat. :)

Can you refrigerate or even freeze spare sauce. Small family and didn’t use it all. Would like to make again, but not waste as much sauce. Thanks for any suggestions. If I can freeze would be a great go to meal for busy nights.

I’m sorry about that Amber. Did you add enough of the Parmesan cheese?
You can also always mix a 1/2 Tablespoon of flour mixed with 1 Tablespoon of water to create a slurry and add that to the sauce to help it thicken faster. I am going to update the instructions with that info. 🙂

In reply to Carol. Oohh I am sure you could! That's a great idea! I would make the recipe as instructed and then place the pitas on the grill, over a low heat, until the cheese is melted :)
