This bruschetta is made with fresh garlic, basil, and tomatoes over toasted baguette slices. Drizzle with balsamic glaze for the ultimate Italian appetizer!

Ingredients
1French baguette
1 ½ tablespoons extra-virgin olive oildivided
6 Roma tomatoesdiced
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
2 cloves garlicminced
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Balsamic glaze (optional, but highly recommended)
Parmesan cheese, freshly grated (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Cut bread into ¼-inch slices and place on a baking sheet. Lightly drizzle all the bread slices with the 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly toasted.
In a medium bowl, add diced tomatoes, chopped basil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, and the remaining 1/2 Tablespoon of olive oil. Mix until combined. Cover and let sit in the fridge for 10 minutes so the flavors can blend.
Once the bread is toasted, spoon about 2 Tablespoons of the bruschetta mixture on each slice of bread. Drizzle a half teaspoon of balsamic glaze over each piece and a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese, if desired. Enjoy!
