MEET HOLLY
Holly Lofthouse is the founder, owner and author of Life in the Lofthouse. Holly first created Life in the Lofthouse in 2010 as a fun hobby. Over the years, it has grown into a popular cooking site that reaches over 1 million people each month.
Holly was born & raised in Southern Utah, where she grew up alongside her four siblings. Throughout her youth, she was passionate about dance, and also found joy in the kitchen, often helping her parents cook. Her dad taught her how to make his famous tacos, while her mom showed her how to create the most delicious pumpkin rolls. In high school (& throughout her 20’s), Holly continued to build on that passion by working at Rococos steakhouse, where experienced chefs helped shape her skills & deepen her knowledge.
Over the past 16 years, Holly has completed online culinary & food photography courses to refine her skills, most recently through the Bite Shot Academy. Holly has also attended numerous food blogging conferences and will begin her studies in the Culinary Arts program at Dixie Tech in August 2026.
