Doritos Taco Salad
This Doritos Taco Salad is loaded with seasoned ground beef, black beans and more. What makes this salad so delicious is the nacho cheese Doritos chips!

My family and I love this salad. It is packed with all kinds of deliciousness. Seasoned ground beef, black beans, cheese, lettuce and don’t forget the Nacho cheese Doritos. 😀 They make the salad!

This Doritos Taco Salad comes together in just about 20 minutes tops! Salads like this are my go-to for easy and simple dinners. I especially love to make them during the summer time, so we don’t have to turn on the oven.
The version I’m sharing today is pretty basic, but absolutely delicious, and the one I typically make. Sometimes we add corn, chopped green onion and even use different dressings to mix things up. I’ve even used the Ranch flavored Doritos instead of the nacho cheese, and it’s pretty awesome with those, too.

Most importantly, with any salad, is the dressing. Feel free to use your favorite dressing! You don’t have to use Catalina dressing. Sometimes I serve it with ranch dressing too. It’s delicious either way!

THIS IS SO GOOD! Never would have thought of using Catalina dressing on taco salad!
My friend sent me this recipe saying he wanted it. We both love it so much, I’m making it again tonight. I am doubling the hamburger and taco seasoning, as one pound of meat in this deliciousness was not enough for the Two of us.
I put the doritos on top of everything after making a bowl to keep them from getting soggy.
Thank you SO much for this wonderful, cheap, and effortless recipe!!
Awesome!
This was an excellent dinner choice. I added a can of drained fiesta corn and it was amazing!
I put the taco seasoning in a container of sour cream and use that as the dressing. Yummy.
This was supper tonight. A five-star recipe for sure. Only change i made was omitting the beans (Did not have any on hand)
We love this salad! To us, the Catalina dressing makes it bc it goes so well with the spicy beef and mex veggies/beans. thanks for sharing!
Russian dressing and a little chopped red onion is what my Mom always used and it is soooo good!
Love this! so good.
I use 1 can of ranch style beans instead of black beans and I add 1 small can of chopped black olives
I’ve made this salad for years and we love it! The only change i make is to add sliced green onions, sliced black olives, and avocado. yum!!
I’ve made this for many years but I add sliced avocado….yum!
Love Taco salad! I’ve been making a version of this recipe before I was married. My college roommates and I would divy up the ingredients and then each of us would buy our choices. We had what we thought a feast!! Lol. The dressing I make is thousand island in measuring cup then add chunky salsa to it until still thick but lose enough to coat everything. Also add kidney beans and crushed Fritos on the bottom of the bowl. Then pile on the taco salad!
Oh my! this salad is soooo good! it is quick to put together and delicious to eat. thank you for sharing the recipe.
This salad is wonderful! I have made it a couple of times, and both my husband and I loved it. The Doritos give it a tasty crunch.
I love this salad! I like to add a tablespoon or two to the catalina dressing as well! Thank you for sharing!
I have also crunched up hard taco shells when I didn’t have Doritos.
This is a great recipe — very tasty and easy to prepare.
I made it exactly as written, except that the Doritos were served on the side, as other readers suggested, to maintain their crunch. Thank you!
This Doritos Taco salad is delicious!! I will be making it again!! I mixed the corn and black beans in a separate bowl and added fresh squeezed lime juice to it as well as some salt and pepper.
I add corn, black beans, shredded cheese, sour cream, and avocado and use Fritos. I don’t add any dressing.
