It is officially the first day of SUMMER! Wahoo! (Although honestly, it has felt like summer in our neck of the woods the past two weeks.) Today’s high temperature is supposed to be 114! OUCH. So what better way to cool off than with a refreshing cold drink! 😀
This FROSTED LEMONADE is so delicious. It’s made with freshly squeezed lemon juice and ice cream. Simple yet so good. I made these for my kiddos last Friday and they downed them in about 5 minutes. They really loved them. I lessened the sugar on them for this recipe so they were kind of tart (but we like that) So if you can always add more sugar to make them sweeter if you like.
This recipe makes two servings so if you’re needing more just double or triple the recipe as needed. Enjoy!
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2½ cups water
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- Pour lemon juice, sugar and water into a medium pitcher. Stir until sugar dissolves. Place in fridge to chill for at least an hour.
- Add 1 cup of lemonade and 2 cups ice cream to a blender. Blend until smooth and combined. Pour into 2 glasses and serve immediately. Enjoy!
