Warm Bean Dip
Warm Bean Dip is loaded with creamy refried beans and sour cream, topped off with lots of cheese for the best comforting party dip!

Warm Bean Dip is creamy refried beans mixed with sour cream and Mexican seasonings topped with mounds of gooey cheese. It’s the perfect appetizer to serve at any party or to devour at home! With only a 10 minute prep time you can have this bean dip in your belly in no time!
I originally posted this recipe back in February 2012, but recently came back to the recipe and was a little mortified by the pictures. I quickly came to the realization that the pictures weren’t doing this dip any justice- like at all.
This bean dip is so good and mouthwatering, I thought I better make some to devour and take new pictures while I was at it. I immediately whipped up a pan of and snapped new pictures (while simultaneously trying not to eat the entire thing before I even took one picture). haha.
I gotta say, I really like how they turned out! A definite improvement from what they were before!

My daughter Kelsey helped me with the photoshoot and every time I turned away for one second, she was digging into the dip! It goes to show how good it really is, I seriously couldn’t keep her out of it. 😄
I could go on forever listing all the reasons I love this incredible warm bean dip. It’s rich, full of amazing flavor and oh so creamy. Whenever I’m in need of a quick-to-make and tasty appetizer this recipe is my go-to. It’s SO easy to make and only requires 5 ingredients! If that alone doesn’t convince you to get in the kitchen and make this dip, then I don’t know what will!

This looks amazing! My friends and I are bean lovers, haha, so we’ll have to try this one day. Unfortunately, I just had my gall bladder removed, though, so it’ll be a little while before I get to try it. Your recipes always look amazing!
I had mine removed in 2007 and I am able to eat nearly everything. You will know what you can and can’t eat but it won’t be as horrendous as the symptoms you may have had WITH your gall bladder. Just wanted to give you something to look forward to…. PS Mine was removed the same time I had gastric bypass. It took a little longer for me to figure out what i could and couldn’t eat because of the bypass. Hang in there! 🙂
I make something similar so I know how delicious this recipe is! Your’s looks fantastically yummy!
Yum…I do a similar recipe, but use turkey chili with beans instead. So good!

My momma always makes this for get-togethers. I’ve been known to park myself in front of the casserole dish with endless scoops nearby. Too. Good.
I’m not a fan of the super bowl either…but an excuse to eat cheesy bean dip? I’ll take it!
I have to confess that I am not a football fan either…I like super bowl just for the food and commercials:-) And food like this dip is exactly why I like it!!!!

Oooooooh Baby! Now that is food:)
I LOVE this! We actually call it ‘Man Dip’ because the picky men in our family can’t get enough of it.
I make one similar but I use the fat free retried beans on top of the 1/3 less fat cream cheese & then put a jar of my favorite salsa on top of that & then a layer of 2% cheese. It’s yummy & a little lighter.
I just made this..and it is awesome! Thanks for pinning it to Pinterest! We love it!
My husband hates Mexican-ish food and especially any food with beans. It’s a really sad situation because those are my two favorite types of foods. That said, I made this tonight and he devoured it! Thanks!
I just made this tonight and it’s AMAZING! I thought about adding some green onions and salsa but didn’t have it on hand. Might add those with it next time. Thanks for the recipe! It was super easy and delish!
HOw do you keep it warm? Crockpot?
^^^—- I was wondering the same. I’d imagine it wouldn’t take long for the cheese to start hardening after it gets out of the oven, unless you have enough people eating it fast enough to not have to worry about it, lol.
