Menu Plan Monday

Lots of great family-friendly recipes always on Menu Plan Monday!Hello, hello friends! Welcome back to Menu Plan Monday. I apologize again for not posting last week’s menu. I had a rough time getting back into our weekly routine, but there’s also another reason I need to share. I have been having issues with my gall bladder. I think I told you guys a few months ago I was having pain on my right side. I ended up in the E.R. but they told me it was an ulcer. Well, the pain has come back and they know now it definitely is my gall bladder so I’m having surgery on Thursday to remove it. I am scared to have surgery but ready to have it out. I just want to feel normal again and out of pain! 🙂

I will still be posting recipes while I’m out recovering. I have some good ones scheduled and ready to go so please be sure to stop back by the blog to check them out. 😀 Okay, now lets get to the menu. I’m ready for delicious food to eat before Thursday! After surgery my diet will be pretty strict as I heal. Ugh. lol So while I’m sipping on broth I hope you all think of me as you’re eating a good meal. Ha! j/k

  1. I wanted to say that I had my gallbladder out in 2011. It was such a relief! But they didn’t give me any special diet to follow? I don’t know why but I did okay anyway. I know some people have to watch their fat intake after the surgery. But you will do great! Prayers for you!

    1. Yeah, my Dr. told me to stick to non-fat foods, broths, and veggies for the first couple weeks. He said I wouldnt be back to a normal diet for 2 months. Thanks so much for your prayers and comment, Aileen! 🙂

  2. Good luck!! I had mine out just a couple weeks ago and it hasn’t been bad at all. Prayers and good thoughts your way. 🙂
