Menu Plan Monday

Dinner can be a stressful time for parents. When we aren’t prepared for dinner we typically end up getting fast food. Not with Menu Plan Monday though. There are six dinners and one dessert idea on every meal plan!

Hi guys! Another week has flown right by, so it’s time to get organized and make our menu plans for the week! Raise your hand if you love to make to-do lists. *raising my hand* I don’t know what it is, but when I make a to-do list, like my Menu Plan Monday, it makes me feel accomplished and that makes me happy.

Not only was getting in shape one of my new year resolutions, but another one was to write down weekly goals. Whether it be working out a certain number of times a week, watching my calories, or working a certain number of hours a day- I wanted to start slowly. I started with writing down our weekly menu plan and actually sticking to it. We decided to only eat out 2 times during the week and eat at home the rest of the time. I’m happy to report we have stuck to it these last couple weeks and it feels so great! I swear, the more you eat home cooked meals, the more you crave them.

Last year, especially towards the end, we were eating out way too much. Now that I’m cooking so much more I feel like I’m getting back to my old self again. I had blogger burnout really bad last year and cooking became more of a chore then a desire. I think that’s why we were eating out a lot. When the new year came I swore to myself no matter how hard it would be, I was going to cook more. It was slow to start, but I’ve got my groove back. I even broke out old cookbooks I haven’t looked at in years and they’re giving me lots of ideas for the blog. I’m excited. 🙂
