This Chef Salad is loaded with sliced honey ham, oven roasted turkey and a hard boiled egg. Served with a homemade honey mustard dressing, this salad is always a favorite!
Believe it or not I do eat healthy food. With all the fattening recipes and desserts I post you wouldn’t think so, but I do. I never serve a meal without some type of veggie, and we eat salads a lot. Even my kids love them.
We went out to lunch with my Dad and sister a few weeks ago, and when the waiter came to take our order my 3 year old, Kallen, shouts to the waiter, “Me want a salad!” Everyone busted up laughing. It was so funny, but he was serious! When the waiter brought out our food, Kallen was a happy camper munchin’ on his lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers 🙂
This Chef Salad I’m sharing today is one of my favorites. It’s a basic Chef Salad, but what makes it so awesome is the dressing I serve with it. It’s a combo of delicious Honey Mustard with Creamy Poppy Seed dressing mixed in. It is incredible!

GOODNESS GRACIOUS! I’m not a big one for salads, but with all these add-ins, I would scarf that down in a nanosecond. I’ve got a real ‘thing’ for Honey Mustard dressing lately…and add a favorite, poppyseed dressing??? I am on this and will try it very soon. SO glad you shared.
I can’t tolerate the poppy seeds too well. Suggest another w/o?.

We tried this recipe tonight and loved it. My slowly-growing-to-like-salad son was still eating at the table when my husband and I finished (and very protective of his plate). My husband loves honey mustard dressing (and I’ve always been “off”–as in terrible–at making it). He really liked this version. I didn’t have the poppy seed dressing, so we left it out.
