Homemade Garlic Bread Seasoning is a recipe I can’t live without! Italian herbs mixed with parmesan cheese- this delicious seasoning can go on warm bread, pizza, chicken and more!
Today’s recipe is Garlic Bread Seasoning and it is life-changing! Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating a little, but it really is phenomenal. It’s become a staple in my house. I always have a container of it sitting in my fridge, ready to be sprinkled on some french bread, breadsticks, pizza and even chicken. It is so good!
Having my recipe website has really opened up my eyes to making things from scratch, and I love it. These homemade recipes are so easy, and a million times better than the store bought stuff.
You can find the Garlic Parmesan Breadstick recipe —> HERE!
Garlic Bread Seasoning
- 1/2 cup powdered Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 2 Tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- Combine all ingredients in a small jar or container that has a lid. Stir mixture to combine and then seal shut with lid.
- Sprinkle on top of warm breadsticks OR combine 1 ½ Tablespoons garlic bread seasoning with 1/2 cup softened butter and spread on a loaf of French bread (cut in 1/2 lengthwise).Wrap in foil and bake at 375 until butter is melted. (You could also place it open-faced under the broiler for a few minutes, so it gets golden-brown and crispy)

Just love this and all of your fantastic recipes!!!! I love how you make everything so easy and quick and with basic on hand staples. I was wondering if you have ever heard of 7 minute frosting? I heard it’s done on a double pot thing and it’s only sugar, vanilla, and maybe 2 other ingredients, but I can’t find a recipe for it and how to do it? Any help would be appreciated, and the easier the better!! Thanks, Patricia
Can’t wait to maje this
I made this for dinner last night with spaghetti, everyone loved it. I mixed it with the butter and broiled it. Really yummy! I put it in a half pint canning jar with the shaker lid from my parmesan cheese container. Perfect!
Thanks so much for this one! I usually just sprinkle garlic salt over butter ☺️ if I don’t buy a loaf of ready to bake bread. But of course that is terribly lacking. This recipe caught my eye since I have a huge canister of the cheese that seems to last years. So today I finally remembered to try it out (minus the oregano just because I don’t love it. I will add a bit next time to see how I feel about it in this recipe). I broiled it and it was awesome! All of my kids liked it!
I usually Do not love oregano either but i followed this in almost exact measurements and its amazing on a baguette then baked at 425 for 5 or so minutes
i CAN’T EAT SPAGHETTI SAUCE, BUT THIS WOULD BE GOOD ON SPAGHETTI AND i WILL TRY IT SOON.
as soon as I saw this I ran, not walked, to my kitchen and mixed up a batch. Oh my it is delicious. i put it on some toast and i was delighted. great recipe!
Nope. You’re not exaggerating. It’s life changing!! And so much better than anything I’ve used so far. Thank you so much.

I haven’t made this yet but it looks amazing. I want to use it to make garlic parmesan chicken wings.
