I have to admit it. I love me some IHOP pancakes. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals to eat at restaurants, though it’s funny, because I’m normally a savory foods girl. I like to order chicken fried steak, bacon or eggs. BUT there’s always an exception when we go to IHOP. I always get their pancakes. They are amazing! Especially with their butter pecan syrup. Yum!

We absolutely loved these pancakes. In my family’s opinion, they were BETTER than IHOP’s. Maybe it’s because they were homemade, I’m not sure. They were just amazing!

I made these for the first time during this covid quarantine bc I wanted IHOP pancakes. We all loved them. Today, I told my family I was making pancakes for breakfast and these were requested when my boyfriend said, “can we have the good kind? The ones like ihop?” This is a winner!!

This recipe is perfect and I enjoy making it. Very very close to Ihop and very delicious. Thank you for posting this. I have made this recipe and also as an alternate added 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract. Both versions come out great every time!!.

        1. Put 1 tbsp of lemon juice or vinegar ( we like the taste of apple cider vinegar) in the bottom of your 1 cup liquid measure, fill will whole milk, half & half, or cream to the 1 cup mark. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then stir and use the amount that is needed.

  3. My families loves these pancakes! We have experimented and learned to add a splash of vanilla for flavor and a splash of whole milk for thinning the batter just a bit. Perfect!

The best pancakes I’ve ever made! Just like IHOP! I doubled the batch and kept them in the oven at 170 until they were all done – so good! Going in my recipe box!

Made the pancakes. Best at home pancakes I ever had. THey dissolved in my mouth. Only complaint is they were a bit too thin and crePe-liKe. Next tIMe I’ll cut thE buttermilk to onE cUp and add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla. They didn’t taste liKE IHOP pancakes but who cares? They were great.
