I have to admit it. I love me some IHOP pancakes. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals to eat at restaurants, though it’s funny, because I’m normally a savory foods girl. I like to order chicken fried steak, bacon or eggs. BUT there’s always an exception when we go to IHOP. I always get their pancakes. They are amazing! Especially with their butter pecan syrup. Yum!

We absolutely loved these pancakes. In my family’s opinion, they were BETTER than IHOP’s. Maybe it’s because they were homemade, I’m not sure. They were just amazing!

Can you use almond milk? Out of regular milk to make buttermilk. Ive made them before as the recipe is written, theyre Fantastic!! Passed it on to my daughter.

These were awesome!!! I Followed recipe exactly. I prefer to try recipes as written before later adding my own twist, that way I can give a honest review.
I had a craving for ihop pancakes and these were the next best thing. Will never use another recipe. Next time I’ll add a little vanilla extract to the batter.

I didn’t have buttermilk, but I just made fresh yogurt and it was still warm so I used that. My batter immediately fluffed up when I added wet to dry, and the warmth meant the butter blended in so smoothly. Wow these pancakes were everything I was looking for! Fluffy but dense enough to not deflate as soon they came off the STOVe. 100% will make these again

Made these for my girlfriend and she loved them! This’ll be my go-to pancake recipe from now on.
I didn’t have buttermilk (who does?) so I substituted it with 1:2 Greek yogurt mixed with milk (1 part yogurt, 2 parts milk). It turned out amazing!

(Actually, I accidentally used strawberry Greek yogurt instead of plain and they came out as strawberry pancakes. Delicious!)

I worked at IHOP on and off for 20 years and somehow I still love pancakes, but i hate syrup. Now that I’m not there anymore I’ve been on the hunt for perfect pancakes – fluffy, not dense, has just enough sweetness that I don’t need to add any….these are it! My poor husband has suffered through my pancake experiments and told me i can stop – these are the ones!

Made THese this morning, made them dairy free (Used oatmilk added lemon juice 2t to sour it, buttermilk sub). Turned out perfect. Also sugar free as we like to pile on maple sYrup. Reminded me of my trip to the usa and my ihop visit. Perfect

I’ve been gracing IHOP ever since I left USA 8 years Ago. Called hubby to bring me buttermilk from the store and can’t wait to make them in the morning. Was wondering if I can add some chocolate Chips?

I’m from New Zealand and since we’re far away from the rest of the world we don’t have Ihob so I don’t actually know what they taste like or how accurate it is to this recipe. Although out of the hundreds of pancake recipe i have tried this one is by far the best pancakes i have ever had. These pancakes were so delicious that i had to make a second batch because they were amazing. 100% would DEFINITELY reccomend

I make them as the recipe says but use 50/50 milk and sour cream cuz I never have buttermilk. Fluffy, delicious and never rubbery!! Thanks to your recipe, I finally can say I have mastered pancakes!

These were the best and did have the signature IHOP taste. The only thing I added was a splash of vanilla and used soured milk v buttermilk.

WoW! – these really are better than ihop or denny’s i’d never made buttermilk pancakes before in my life but these were quick, simple and totally deelish! I used my grandma’s 100 year+ old cast iron frying pan and they browned up golden and fluffy just like the real deal. This will be my go to recipe for weekend flapjacks for sure! – thank you
