Cini Mini Monkey Breads are covered in cinnamon and sugar then topped with a sweet vanilla glaze. You are sure to fall in love with these little pull-apart breads!
I am fully convinced that if you take a beautiful dessert and shrink it down to a miniature size, it makes it much more appealing and fun! My Cini Mini Monkey Breads are tiny treats that are packed with cinnamon flavor. This is a fun dessert to serve at birthdays, baby showers, or when you need something sweet with your morning cup of coffee!
CINI MINI MONKEY BREADS
Traditional monkey bread is made in a large Bundt pan. This allows you to peel away each bite to enjoy. However, this recipe takes that same idea and shrinks it down to personal serving sizes! Each piece is covered in cinnamon, sugar, and butter. During the baking process they stick together to create one little perfect monkey bread. As soon as they’re cooled, drizzle the vanilla glaze all over the tops!
INGREDIENTS
Monkey Bread
- 12 frozen Rhodes Dinner rolls, thawed
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 Tablespoon light corn syrup
- 1 ¼ cups brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Vanilla Icing
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 Tablespoons butter, melted
- 3 to 4 Tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
Monkey Bread:
Cut each thawed roll into 6 equal pieces. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter and corn syrup.
In a separate medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Dip each piece of roll into the butter mixture and then into the cinnamon/sugar mixture. Toss to coat.
Place all 6 coated pieces into a well-greased cup of a 12-cup muffin tin. Repeat with all remaining rolls.
Bake for 16 to 18 minutes. Remove rolls from the oven. Let cool for 20 minutes before removing rolls from the pan. (If you don’t let them cool slightly they will fall apart!)
Vanilla Icing:
Stir all the icing ingredients together in a medium bowl, using milk to reach desired thickness. Spoon over rolls and enjoy!
SERVINGS
This recipe makes a perfect dozen. You can certainly double or triple the recipe if you need to serve more!
ADDITIONS
I always say, let your imagination run wild! These sweet morsels are delicious on their own, but if you’re looking for a little more flare, then I say shoot for the stars. If you are a fan of raisins, this is a great recipe to add those to. Another option is to add chopped apples. They give these monkey breads a fresh spin you will love!

These look amazing. The pictures say it all. 🙂
I saw these this morning and had to make them tonight. My husband and I loved them! We went ahead and ate them warm out of the oven, no icing needed, we couldn’t wait. So good! Thanks for sharing.
Um, these are the cutest things EVER! Must make ASAP! 🙂
Sues
YUM! These monkey breads look so delish & even their name is cute. Like cinnamon rolls, only easier to pull apart into bite-sized pieces. Must try.

How do you out them in the muffin pans? Any tips?
use pampered chef muffin tins …they’re the best!
Exactly what I was looking for. McDonald’s no longer carries them here and my kids loved them. They will be so excited. Almost as excited as I am maybe!
What can we substitute for the dinner roll as they are not available in Australia
Michelle, the Rhodes dinner rolls are just frozen bread dough. You could use any bread/roll dough to make these 🙂 I just use Rhodes out of convenience.
