Grilled Italian Chicken
Make Easy Grilled Italian Chicken with just two simple ingredients. It’s easy to prep and perfect for a stress-free weeknight dinner.

This Easy Grilled Italian Chicken recipe is hands down one of my favorite ways to prepare chicken, and it’s perfect for a stress-free weeknight dinner if you’re a busy mom like me. With just two simple ingredients, boneless, skinless chicken breasts and Italian dressing, this recipe is effortless, yet packed with bold and zesty flavors. It’s also budget-friendly and incredibly versatile; you can serve it on top of salads or enjoy it as a main course with your favorite sides.
EASY GRILLED ITALIAN CHICKEN
You can cook it outdoors on the grill for those classic smoky sear marks, use an indoor grill like a George Foreman for convenience, or bake it in the oven if you prefer a no-fuss method. Just let the chicken marinate for at least 3 hours (or overnight for best results), and you’ll have a tender, juicy meal ready in no time. The easy Italian marinade keeps the chicken moist while infusing it with herbs, garlic, and a subtle touch of sweetness. Pat the chicken dry, grill for about 5 minutes per side, and dinner is ready in minutes. Serve it with a fresh salad, roasted vegetables, or pasta for a well-balanced meal the whole family will love.

Storage and Reheating
Store leftover grilled chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. To reheat, warm gently in the oven, on the stovetop, or in the microwave to keep it juicy, or freeze cooked chicken for up to 2-3 months, thawing overnight in the fridge before reheating.
Holly’s Tips for The Best Grilled Italian Chicken:
- Pound The Chicken Evenly: Use a meat mallet or rolling pin to flatten chicken breasts. This ensures they cook evenly on the grill and stay juicy.
- Use High-Quality Italian Dressing: A flavorful Italian dressing makes all the difference. Make it homemade or use your favorite store-bought dressing.
- Marinate For 3 Hours or Overnight: The longer the chicken marinates, the more flavorful and tender the chicken becomes.
- Pat Dry Before Grilling: Remove excess marinade and pat the chicken dry with paper towels. This prevents flare-ups on the grill and helps achieve those restaurant-style grill marks.
- Make It Your Own: Add garlic, lemon zest, or fresh herbs to the marinade for a custom twist depending on the time of year. Roasted vegetables, fresh greens, and grilled peppers make excellent side dishes.
