Grape Salad is full of fresh, sweet grapes, tossed in a sweet cream cheese dressing, then sprinkled with brown sugar and pecans. Life-in-the-Lofthouse.comHi there! It’s Jodi again from 5 Boys Baker and I’m so excited to share one of our favorite summer time salads with you today. Actually, we love this Grape Salad any time of the year, but I usually just make it in the summer when I don’t have to sell one of my children or take out a small loan to buy grapes (lol!). Seriously though, this salad is absolutely delicious. It’s light and refreshing and is always a crowd pleaser.

My mom got this recipe for Grape Salad several years ago from her friend and we have loved it ever since. The original recipe made enough to feed an army so I’ve cut it down for my family. But if I am taking it to a party, I always double the recipe.

Grape Salad is full of fresh, sweet grapes, tossed in a sweet cream cheese dressing, then sprinkled with brown sugar and pecans. Life-in-the-Lofthouse.comSpeaking of parties, funny story about this salad. I took it to a party one time and one of our friends saw it and thought I’d brought a bowl full of olives and mayonnaise!. We laughed so hard because it actually does look just like that. Especially when you use all red grapes and have no green grapes mixed in.

This delicious Grape salad is the perfect side dish with any meal and is definitely doing to be a hit with adults and children. It’s creamy, sweet, refreshing and so simple to throw together. The dressing is almost like a cheesecake filling and speaking from experience, you might just find yourself eating it with a spoon. I think this salad would also be delicious with some coconut sprinkled in, so I think I’ll give that a try next time.

Just make sure you give it at least an hour chill time in the fridge before serving it and then top it off with a sprinkling of brown sugar and pecans.

Enjoy!

Notes

You can use half red and half green grapes in this if you’d like or all of one or the other. We love it with all red grapes, but you use whatever you’d like.
