Ingredients
- 1 package (15.35 ounces) Double-Stuffed Oreo cookies
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 2 boxes (3.9 ounces, each) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 ¼ cups cold milk
- 2 containers (8 ounces, each) Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 block (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Take a large zip-lock bag and place all the Oreo cookies inside. Seal bag shut and place on counter. Using a rolling pin, crush the cookies until they are small chunks/crumbs. You want them to still be chunky and small, but not fine crumbs.
- Set aside 1/3 of the cookie crumbs for the topping. Pour remaining cookie crumbs into a 9×13 baking pan. Pour the melted butter over the crumbs and mix well to combine. Once combined, press into the pan to form a crust.
- In a bowl, whisk together the 2 pudding mixes and milk. Cover and place in fridge to set.
- In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese until smooth. Slowly add in the powdered sugar. Fold in one container of Cool Whip. Spread mixture over the cookie crust.
- Next, take chocolate pudding and spread evenly over the cream cheese mixture. Spread the other container of Cool Whip all over the chocolate pudding layer. Sprinkle the top with the remaining cookie crumbs. Cover and chill in fridge at least 2 hours before serving. Enjoy!

Made this for my family for a Sunday after dinner dessert. Everyone loved it.
I have been making this dessert for 15 years. it is the most requested recipe i make, as it always has to be at every Christmas, thanksgiving, and birthday. However, sometimes you are in a Rush so I have found that Hunts snack pack chocolate pudding works just as well, if not better, it saves time because you dont have to wait for the pudding to set up.. thats the only way I make it now.
My niece and nephew beg me to make this at every family/holiday meal. Thank you for such a DELICIOUS and easy dessert!
Both my husband and dad loved this recipe! I followed it exactly as written. Will make over and over!!
Can you make it the night before like if you want to have it Thanksgiving day and refrigerate it
Yes, absolutely!
I am getting ready to make this yummy dessert but totally confused on the correct size pudding box. The small box is 1.4 oz. The family size is 2.1 The recipe states 2 boxes 3.9 oz each. Can any one advise the correct two boxes to use? the 2.1 or 3.9?
The Heavenly Lemon Dessert calls for 2- 3.4 oz each which is the correct size of the smaller box.
Thanks for your help. Can’t wait to try it
Hi Diane, you use TWO of the 3.9 ounce boxes of instant pudding. Those are the sizes of pudding boxes in my area.:)
Great taste
So good, made it again but used mint Oreos and that was a good twist!
How many days ahead can I make this?
1 to 2 🙂
