Super easy and delicious Chow Mein. My family loves this recipe!

I’m a sucker for Chinese food. It’s one of my guilty pleasures without a doubt! 🙂 Becoming a food blogger has opened my eyes to a whole new world of Chinese food I can make at home!
The Baked Sweet and Sour Chicken and Fried Rice, continue to be one of the top recipes on my site. You all love it as much as we do, because it’s so delicious and so much better than take-out. That being said, I know you are all going to LOVE this Chow Mein recipe! It is lip-smackin’ good! 😀
My kids loved this Chow Mein! Now when I make it, I usually double the recipe because one batch is never enough!

Notes
This recipe easily doubles!
Where do you find lo Mein or chow Mein noodles?
I found mine at Walmart, next to the Asian foods.. soy sauce, sweet and sour sauce, etc. The package said “Chow Mein Noodles” on it 🙂 Good luck!
Angel hair vermicelli works very well also is good cold as pasta salad
Do you have to use peanut oil?
Nope! Vegetable oil works fine!
If I use vegetable oil instead of the peanut oil, will it compromise the flavor?
It might a little, but it will still taste great! 🙂
Can’t wait to try this !!!
i love Chinese food but it is hard to find the ingredents unless I travel
is this low sodium?
Just wanted to tell you, I just found your site and my family and I love every recipe I have tried. Can’t wait for more in 2015!
Thank you! 🙂
Holly you got skills girl.
Question… aren’t chow mein noodles crunchy?
They are before you cook/ boil them 🙂
Could you use ramen noodles in this recipe?
I think cooked Ramen would work!
I also add 3 tablespoons bottled oyster sauce (found in the oriental section), and instead of a head of cabbage and carrots, i use a bag of pre-shredded cole slaw mix… easier and taste wonderful!
