Crock Pot Creamy Ranch Chicken
Creamy Ranch Chicken is a crockpot favorite of ours. Savory and creamy ranch chicken and veggies are cooked together for one delicious meal!

I love my crock pot. I use it ALL the time and definitely year round. Slow cookers are little life savers, especially on busy days! It’s such a good feeling to get dinner prepped and out of the way first thing in the morning. The extra bonus is smelling it cook all day!

This Creamy Ranch Chicken is a big favorite of ours. It’s dinner all in one! You have your meat, potatoes and veggie all cooked and ready to eat once the time is up. I love that!

Not only is this recipe super convenient it is delicious. The ranch flavor is just perfect. Not too overpowering at all. My kids devour this and so does my hubby. It’s on the dinner rotation often at my house. 🙂
Give my Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix a try in this recipe. I bet you have all the ingredients in your pantry right now. 🙂

This is cooking as Im writing this, making this for dinner. I used red potatoes instead of yukon and i only had chicken legs. What can I serve this with?
Just came across this delicious sounding recipe and would love to try and cook it, but unfortunetaly i don’t own a crockpot… is it possible to make this without one? If so: Do you know how to adjust the ingredients and the cooking time? ^^
Thanks a lot in advance!
Making this now and just started reading comments.. I added green beans for color too. But why is everyone adding them with only 30 minutes left? I put mine in in the beginning, will they be overcooked?
Hi if i cut the recipe in half how long would i cook it for?
Greetings! I’m not sure how I discovered your sight but I am well pleased. For some time I have wanted to expand my knowledge of cooking and have some kind of cooking plan… I made your crock chicken meal and served my friends today…outstanding! I left out the ranch but will try it another time. Looking forward to trying more of your recepies! Many Thanks!!
I’m making this for dinner tonight! Looks delish! Will get back to your for a review but I think it will be a big hit. Thanks for sharing and I love your set up for printing. That is fantastic!!! PS. personal like and follow from Beth, WiseMommies and would love for you to follow and support me as well! http://www.wisemommies.com
Tried this tonight and it was watery with no flavor. I thought the ranch dressing would’ve given it flavor.
Just wondering if it would be ok to use precut frozen red potatoes and also if I could add a bag of frozen brussels sprouts as well. I have them both in the freezer already 🙂
My family is not a fan of carrots so I did away with that ingredient, but I went with cooking it on low for 8-9 hours & by the 7th hour it was ready. Not sure why that happened. So I turned my crockpot off and going to wait till about 30 min prior to eating to turn it back on since it’s not dinner time, But I tasted it and I must say it is DELICIOUS! The chicken just falls apart, very excellent recipe.
How can make it without a crock pot…I mean can Iake this in some nonstick pan
For those of you that made this with frozen chicken breasts, did cooking time vary? If so, how long did you cook it for?
This looks delicious. I am wondering how you might make this into a freezer meal? Trying to stock up now, baby coming soon!
Can i double the recipe to make it serve 7?
Do you add water to the condensed cream of chicken soup according to the can or do you just use what’s in the can?
Just use what’s in the can. No water needed 🙂
Made a big batch of this for a party, using your homemade ranch mix (largely as I don’t think we have it otherwise here in Aus)… and it was a massive hit. So many compliments, super delish. Definitely adding this to my repetoire! Thank you. 🙂
How large of a batch did you make? I need to make this for 20 people and was wondering if I needed to adjust anything for the recipe? How many crockpots did you use and how much chicken did you put in each?
Tried this today. Only thing I added different was two spoons of better than bullion chicken. Awesome!
I would like to double this recipe. Do you think it would have to cook longer in the crockpot?
I am only cooking for two so i wanted to cut the recipe in half..do you think this will change the consistency or taste of it?
This looks great! Thinking I may try it with curry powder instead of ranch. The wife hates ranch but loves curry, so you see where I’m going with this. Anyone try any alternative seasonings in this?
I have five adults and four kids I make dinner for do I double the ingredients or make it separately.
Hi! This looks absolutely delicious, and I plan to make this for tonight’s supper. However, I have on question. Is it safe to cook the milk for that long? I was worried about it curdling. Thanks! 🙂
Can I use frozen chicken breasts or do I use fresh? If I use frozen, do I have to cook it longer? I would love to make this tomorrow, I need to shop for the ingredients today.
Thank you
Thanks for the crockpot recipe!! I add onions and it is great with it!!! . Very good everyone loves it!! Cheers!!
I made this today, and my fiancé and I are eating it as we speak!
The chicken is PERFECT!!! 6 hours was on point.
The only thing I may do next time, is add more ranch. I think the cream of chicken soup taste took over the ranch. Other than that, this is a DELICIOUS meal that I will pass on, and definitely make again!
Is your chicken frozen or thawed?
Thawed
I’m making this tomorrow and I was wondering if I should season the chicken in dry ranch dressing overnight? I would like to add broccoli and cauliflower and just need to know when I should add it to the crock pot? Would a litter bit of fresh minced garlic ruin this recipe?
Thanks!
I have used Italian dressing and ranch both taste good. I have also used half packet of each.
The chicken recipe calls for 1 oz ranch dressing. I could not find a 1 oz pkg in the gro store.
Is this a mis print? The smallest pkg I could find is a 4 oz.
No Helen, it’s not a miss-print. I use the 1 oz. packages all the time. Sorry you couldn’t find one. But with the 4 oz package just use a quarter of it. 🙂
