Crock Pot Creamy Ranch Chicken
Creamy Ranch Chicken is a crockpot favorite of ours. Savory and creamy ranch chicken and veggies are cooked together for one delicious meal!

I love my crock pot. I use it ALL the time and definitely year round. Slow cookers are little life savers, especially on busy days! It’s such a good feeling to get dinner prepped and out of the way first thing in the morning. The extra bonus is smelling it cook all day!

This Creamy Ranch Chicken is a big favorite of ours. It’s dinner all in one! You have your meat, potatoes and veggie all cooked and ready to eat once the time is up. I love that!

Not only is this recipe super convenient it is delicious. The ranch flavor is just perfect. Not too overpowering at all. My kids devour this and so does my hubby. It’s on the dinner rotation often at my house. 🙂

The potatoes need around that time to fully cook.
I’m sure I’m just not seeing it but I cant find where it will let me ‘print.’ Looks so delicious! Can’t wait to try!
It’s in the recipe card. On the top left side 🙂
Made this with a spicy ranch packet and used cream of chicken with herbs for some extra flavor. Added some fresh cracked pepper on top. Delicious!
I used broccoli in place of potatoes, because I didn’t have any on hand. It was so good!
This was amazing!!! I needed a dinner I could have ready for guests after an event. I doubled the recipe and added cream cheese at the end. I used the homemade ranch mix recipe since I am gluten free and could control the Lproduct. It had a spicey taste which everyone loved. I will definitely be making this again…and again…and again!
Made this last night. It was very good. Next time I will add some celery. 5 starrs
Did you ever try this with celery? How did it taste? I would like to do this, my hubs likes celery, I just want to make sure it won’t taste weird.
How many servings and how much is a serving?
Liz, this recipe yields about 4 to 6 servings. Each serving would be one chicken breasts with some potatoes and carrots. You can always cut the chicken breasts in half to feed 6. Hope this helps 🙂
Loved it and chicken was so tender
Anyone know if this can be converted to use in the Instapot? This is seriously my families favorite Sunday dinner recipe but im pretty exclusively using my instapot
These days. Thanks in advance!
I just made it last night in the instant pot! Turned out awesome! (I was worried about getting a burn notice but it was fine) We shredded the chicken after to absorb more of the sauce and we will be adding it to our list of faves.
I did 15 min pressure with a 5 min natural release (actually closer to 10 min because I had walked away but 5 would be fine)
Let me know how it turned put in the instapot!
This was SO delicious! My family loved it! I had to adjust a little as I did not have the ranch seasoning mix but I used what i had and it was awesome! My husband said, ” This one is a keeper! You need to make this more often”. Thanks for sharing your fabulous recipe! Incidentally, I served this over egg noodles which was a great combination. 🙂
I made this and added a can of chicken broth, was very good. Everyone that ate loved it.
I tried this recipe before along time ago when I was low on ingredients and couldn’t go to the store. Did a search of recipes for what I had and this popped up. It was a huge hit in our home. Even THe pickey eater ate with no complaint. My husband asked about it the other day so I decided to make it for today. It makes for a great comfort dish especially when it’s super cold out. I dice Everything up and add celery to turn it into soup. Thank you for the recipe
A great way to keep chicken breast moist and tender. Cover each in baking soda and let sit in a bag in fridge for atleast an hour, rinse and then put into crockpot or oven. It works with any kind of meat except hamburger meat. Great for pork, chicken, ect.
Can I use chicken thighs instead ?
Yes absolutely! Just make sure to use boneless chicken thighs 🙂
We love this recipe. Have made it several times and making it again today.
This was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much! I used boneless thighs and used everything else you said and everyone loved it. Only took 3 hours on high…can use any potatoes, fresh baby carrots and 1oz.packet of ranch (dry mix) dressing. And don’tforget the milk. Just like you said!
Instead of using russet potatoes can this be used with red potatoes?
Yes definitley!
This is delicious.
You can add them the last few hours of cooking time. 🙂
Michelle, I have made this recipe using bottled ranch dressing, and also a bottled ranch dip. On the times I have been without the dry mix. It is great!
i messed up and forgot to mix the milk and soup and ranch… I just put it in the crockpot. is it going to be ruined?
No, it’ll be fine. Just mix it up good once it’s all done cooking 🙂
Is the chicken supposed to be uncooked when placing in the crock pot?
Yes, the chicken goes in raw.
YUM YUM YUM. SO EASY AND DELICIOUS. I used the homemade ranch mix. I cut the potatoes up the night before and submerged in water to retain color.
Great option for dinner on a busy day and I put mine on low for 9hrs.
I made this today for dinner and we really enjoyed it. I forgot to put some seasonings on it before I put it in the slow cooker but with the soup and ranch seasoining It really was fine. My husband loved it.
