This Easy Beef Stroganoff recipe is a classic dish the whole family will love. It’s filled with seasoned ground beef and a creamy mushroom sauce served over egg noodles. Enjoy it with a veggie for the perfect meal!
My family absolutely LOVES this dish. This is a very simple, yet delicious ground beef stroganoff recipe. I withhold the plain mushrooms because my family just aren’t fans. They don’t mind the cream of mushroom sauce, but wouldn’t eat this if it were packed with mushrooms. haha.
If you are a mushroom fan, then definitely add some! 🙂 I would suggest adding half a pound of freshly sliced mushrooms to the sauce before you start to simmer it.

These easy skillet recipes are what my weeknight dinner dreams are made of. They’re so simple to prepare and from start to finish you can have this hearty meal on your table in 30 minutes. I like to serve ours with a side of broccoli and my family eats it right up.
Just a quick note- I like to simmer the beef mixture for a good 15 minutes. It gets rid of the strong sour cream scent, resulting in one fabulous savory sauce.
Traditionally, beef stroganoff is served over egg noodles, but you could serve this over any pasta of your choice. There is no going wrong with this incredible dish!

I have never liked beef stroganoff and kept putting off trying this recipe. It tasted wonderful. The only change that I made was I had leftover roast so I used that as my meat. Next I want to try making it gluten and dairy free.
After cooking this recipe for about 15 times now I thought I would finally leave a review! This is absolutely amazing! I do add a little bit of onion soup mix and broth (whatever I have on hand) but other then that I follow as is…..me and my husband will always eat this as a staple in our house. Thank you so much!
I made this a few times an my husband loves it it’s easy an cheap enough for my budget ty so much
This stuff is like pure cocaine, 10/10 would recommend!
Made this last night and it was amazing!! Creamy and delicious. This will definitely be in the rotation – items that you already have on hand.
I make a very similar recipe, only now I use ground turkey. I fry the onions, then saute mushrooms. (We love mushrooms!) I usually take the onions and mushrooms out of the skillet to fry the ground turkey, and then added them back in. I use a variety of spices, then 1 can of cream of mushroom soup. After they have been cooked through, I turn the heat off to add sour cream or plain Greek yogurt. I usually put this on rice.
I grew up eating this, but with ground beef instead of turkey like I do now. It’s a very comforting dish for me.
