Honey Garlic Chicken

Looks can be deceiving. How can something so small be so flavorful? You would be surprised that some of the tiniest bites are the ones that are packing the most flavor. That is just one of the reasons why I love these Honey Garlic Chicken Bites. Each tender bit of chicken will pop in your mouth! This recipe is an incredible option for any day of the week. They can be made to meal prep, or made for an easy lunch, or for an amazing dinner for guests.

HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN BITES

I am a firm believer in the phrase, “variety is the spice of life.” When you find one way to make something, you can get creative and come up with as many different variations as possible! If you go through my blog, you will see a couple of different ‘bites’ recipe options. I will link some of my favorites below! This recipe is worth saving because each tiny piece of chicken is covered in freshly chopped garlic, sweet honey, soy sauce, and sweet Thai chili sauce. They are sweet, savory, and so satisfying! Perhaps the best thing about this recipe is that it can be on your table, start to finish, in 30 minutes.

Honey Garlic Chicken

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken breasts, cut in 1-inch pieces
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 Tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Thai sweet chili sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ Tablespoon cornstarch

HOW TO MAKE HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN BITES

1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced chicken breast and season with salt and pepper. Cook chicken on all sides until golden brown; about 6 minutes.

2. In a small bowl, mix the garlic, honey, soy sauce and sweet Thai chili sauce together. Pour this mixture all over the chicken in the pan. Reduce heat to low.

3. Meanwhile, mix the water and cornstarch together to create a slurry. Whisk the slurry into the sauce with the chicken. Continue to stir and let the sauce simmer with the chicken for a couple of minutes to reduce and to let the flavors blend.

4. Serve chicken warm and garnish with chopped parsley, if desired. Serve and enjoy!

SERVINGS

This recipe yields 4 servings. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled, but you will want to cook them in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.

SIDE DISH OPTIONS

I like to serve these chicken bites as a main dish with a side of rice, and a vegetable or side salad. They can also be added to any salad to keep things light and lean. You can also use these in a wrap for a quick lunch, or prepare a batch at the beginning of the week and use it as protein for meal prep.

COOKING TIME

You can have these ready to eat in just 30 minutes. This way there is no excuse to have a flavorful homemade meal each night of the week. 😊
