Each time I host a party, I make sure the snacks keep the party going in your mouth! My Philly Cheesesteak Crescent Pinwheels are bite-sized versions of the east coast staple. These pinwheels may be small in size, but each one is big on flavor. These are simple to prepare for your next celebration!
In a large skillet sauté diced sandwich steak until cooked through then remove from pan. Next, render down the bell peppers in a separate skillet. Cover the baking sheet in parchment paper and roll out crescent dough into a large rectangle. Spread chive & onion cream cheese evenly. Sprinkle the steak and peppers over dough then roll dough lengthwise. Cut into 2-inch pinwheels. Assort pinwheels on a baking sheet and cook for 14 to 16 minutes at 375 degrees F.

WHAT KIND OF CRESCENT DOUGH SHOULD I USE?
Any store bought canned crescent dough should work just fine! I recommend using Pillsbury Original Crescent Dough.
CAN I USE OTHER VEGGIES IN THE MIXTURE?
Absolutely! Try using white onions, mushrooms, and orange and yellow peppers for more flavor and color to the dish.
WHAT TEMPERATURE SHOULD I COOK THE STEAK TO?
I recommend cooking meat to a medium rare in the skillet as it will cook more in the oven. If you prefer a more thorough cook then prepare to a medium.

Philly Cheesesteak Crescent Pinwheels
- 9 ounces thinly sliced frozen sandwich steak meat (or 9 ounces thinly sliced rib-eye steak)
- 1 cup chopped red and green bell pepper
- 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup chive and onion cream cheese
- Alfredo sauce, for dipping
- Heat oven to 375°F. Line a large cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper.In a large skillet, cook steak as directed on package (if using fresh sliced rib eye steak, cook to your temperature preference.) Remove steak from skillet and chop into small pieces.
- In a separate, small non-stick skillet, cook bell peppers over medium heat; stirring until tender.Unroll crescent dough onto a clean counter; press into a 12x8-inch rectangle. Spread the cream cheese spread evenly over crescent dough. Top with the cooked steak and bell peppers.
- Starting at one long end, roll dough up tightly. Pinch at seam to seal. Cut into 12 even rolls.Place rolls 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake 14 to 16 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serve with heated Alfredo pasta sauce. Enjoy!
