Hi friends! Welcome to Menu Plan Monday #286. Wow, it’s been a week. Kelsey turned sixteen on Wednesday and I’m still in denial over it. haha. On her birthday we took Kelsey and her boyfriend out to lunch. We’ve always told Kels she couldn’t date until she was sixteen (yep, I am one of those strict Moms) so of course, the minute she turned sixteen her crush asked her to be his girlfriend! Kelsey was on cloud nine. I am so happy for her. She really has liked him for awhile now, so she was beyond excited when they made it official on her special day.
We celebrated her sweet sixteen Thursday night with a barbecue at our house with all of her besties. I spent all day preparing for the party. I made her favorite pasta salads that are here on the blog- Tri Color Pasta Salad and Mandarin Orange and Spinach Pasta Salad. She also requested I make this Easy Fruit Dip and had lots of chips and dips. Last, but not least, she wanted me to make my famous Coconut Cream Cake, so her wish was my command. 😉 Kale grilled up some hamburger and hot dogs, so boy did we have a spread. Kelsey and her friends loved it all. It was a fun party and total success.
