I love my slow cooker. I believe it’s a very beneficial cooking tool to have in the kitchen. There are endless amounts of recipes that can be made in them. I utilize mine all the time, especially in the winter months. I love to make soups and main dishes in them, but you can do so much more. Tacos, dips, and even desserts! Some of my favorite soups I’ve ever made have come right out of the slow cooker. At the top of that list is my Slow Cooker Bacon Cheeseburger Soup. Wow! Not only do I love this recipe, but my kids do as well. It’s like having a bite of your favorite cheesy burger in every spoonful. Serve in a bread bowl if you’re missing the bun.

I have loads of dinner recipes that are made in the slow cooker. One that I make all the time for my family is my Chicken Ranch Tacos. We love Mexican food in the Lofthouse, and tacos are a weekly tradition. My family requests these all the time and I am more than happy to oblige.

Another dinner favorite, especially for holidays, is my Honey Glazed Ham. It makes appearances at Christmas, Easter, and for Sunday dinners. I love making this ham because it makes a lot! I use the leftovers to make sandwiches, soups, or just to warm up and eat on its own.

My Hot Chocolate is so creamy and sweet that it’s practically a dessert on its own. Warm hot chocolate served with floating marshmallows. My kids beg me to make this every winter!
